Silver Run Falls
A short walk through the woods leads to a roughly 25-foot waterfall dropping into a wide pool surrounded by forest. One of the easiest waterfall experiences in the area and a great choice for families or anyone looking for a relaxed outing.

Upper Whitewater Falls
One of the tallest waterfalls in the eastern United States at approximately 411 feet. A paved quarter-mile path leads from the parking area to the main overlook, making this enormous waterfall surprisingly accessible.

Dry Falls

Bridal Veil Falls
Water spills from an overhanging rock ledge beside US-64, creating the thin veil that gives the waterfall its name. Visible from the road with no hiking required — an easy addition to a Highlands day.

Glen Falls
A trail follows a series of three major cascades through the forest just outside Highlands. The hike down feels easy, but remember — you still have to hike back up. Bring water and wear proper shoes.

Cullasaja Falls
Water tumbles roughly 250 feet down a rugged mountainside along the winding US-64 corridor. The waterfall is impressive, but the narrow, curvy road means viewing is limited to safe, legal pull-offs only.

Accessibility: Viewable from roadside pull-offs; no trail access
